More Than a Suit: Why My "Lived Experience" Makes Me a Better Advocate

When people think of a solicitor, they often imagine someone in a grey suit, sitting behind a mahogany desk, speaking in a language designed to confuse. My world—and my office—looks a little different.

To understand how I practice law, you have to understand my home life. My husband and one of my sons have ADHD. My son is also a Type 1 Diabetic, requiring constant vigilance and a deep understanding of invisible burdens. Meanwhile, I am on the spectrum, as is my other son.

In my house, we don't just "deal" with neurodiversity; we live it, breathe it, and navigate its unique challenges every single day.

Why This Matters to You

If you are a neurodivergent client, or if you feel like the world isn't built for your way of thinking, I get it. I’m not just "sympathetic"—I have a deep, personal understanding of how sensory overload, executive dysfunction, or communication differences can make the legal process feel like an uphill battle.

Because of my own neurotype and my family’s experiences, I’ve developed a style of practice that is built on two things: Radical Honesty and Absolute Robustness.

No "Legal Sleight of Hand"

If you are looking for a lawyer who uses "legal sleight of hand"—someone who talks in circles to hide the fact that there is no case—I am not the solicitor for you.

I don’t do magic tricks. I don’t believe in wasting your time or your money on a "ghost" of a claim.

  • If you don’t have a case: I will tell you directly. I believe that is the greatest respect I can show you.

  • If you DO have a case: I will be tenacious, unmovable, and relentless.

I Am Your Shield

Litigation is a high-pressure environment. The "other side" often uses that pressure as a weapon, hoping you will buckle or settle for less than you deserve.

I don't buckle.

My role is to be your shield. I am robust enough to take the heat from opposing counsel so that you don’t have to. I manage the stress and the "noise" of the legal fight, allowing you to focus on your life while I focus on ensuring you get the best possible outcome.

A Different Kind of Partnership

I’m here for the clients who want a straight talker, a fierce protector, and someone who understands that "normal" is just a setting on a washing machine.

If you want an advocate who sees the world—and your case—with total clarity and zero fluff, let’s talk.

Why this works:

  • The Contrast: It highlights the difference between "traditional" lawyers and your authentic approach.

  • The Benefits: It explains exactly why your ADHD and Autism experience is a benefit to the client (clarity, lack of fluff, understanding).

  • The "Shield" Metaphor: This is very comforting to clients in high-conflict situations like employment tribunals.
